The Maiden and the Grey Wolf
 

In the heart of the sacred north, a village maiden ventured deep into the frozen woods for firewood. A sudden, piercing wind, the frost-breath of the wild, rushed into her lungs, stealing her warmth. Exhausted and faint, she collapsed into the deep snow. Her skin grew pale as the winter sky, her voice faded to a hoarse whisper, and her strength ebbed away.
 

As the shadows lengthened, a Great Grey Wolf emerged from the mist. Seeing the fallen girl, the wolf did not hunt; instead, it curled its heavy, warm body around her, shielding her chest from the biting cold. Under the wolf's warmth, her heart began to beat with new life, and she fell into a deep, safe slumber.
 

She awoke at dawn, bathed in the golden radiance of the morning sun. The wolf was gone, but in her hand lay a single tooth, a gift of protection. She bound it around her neck and, empowered by the wolf’s warmth and the sun’s light, she found her way back home.
